Quantum Nicosia Marathon is expected to be the largest sporting, cultural and social event to be organized every year in Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. It will represent Cyprus internationally and will become a bridge which will connect the present with the long Greek history, the history of Cyprus and the power of the human determination to overcome obstacles and reach their goal. The other events to be held in parallel with the marathon are the Half Marathon, the 10Km Road Race, the 5Km Road Race and the 1000m Charity Run. The amount collected from the all participants registrations, will be attributed into the fund “My respectable Friends” and other Charitable Organizations such as “Make A Wish”, “Cancer Association of Cyprus” and “Cyprus Institute of Neurology”.

Registration

The entry fees is 20€ for the marathon. To participate in Quantum Nicosia Marathon you can register in the official website.

Course / Route Map

The marathon starts and finishes at the Famagusta Gate, in front of the main entrance. The course is made up of a single loop which has to be run twice. Athletes after the start of the race, run along Nikiforos Fokas Street, Archbishop Makarios II Square, Evgenias and Antoniou Theodotou Street, Stasinou Avenue, Omirou Avenue towards Solomou Square, Leonidou Street, Makariou III Avenue, Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, Griva Digeni Avenue, turn right into Lord Vyronos Avenue, Prodromou Street Kykkos schools, Patriarch Petros Z’ area, Costaki Ombasi Street, Agios Gennadios, Patriarch Petros Z’, Agiou Meletiou, Alexandrou Papagou, Ellinon, Costaki Ombasi, Estiades street, Agios Antonios Market, Evgenias and Antoniou Theodotou Street, Salaminos Avenue, Solonos Michaelidi – Agiou Andreou junction, church of Panagia Evaggelistria, Melina Merkouri Foundation and Nikiforos Fokas Street. In the second round the athletes while run along the street Nikiforos Fokas for the second time, finishing in front of the Famagusta Gate.
